FAQ'S

What is *Let’s Fix It*?

Let’s Fix It* is a two-player, conversation-based card game designed to help couples or close connections repair misunderstandings, improve communication, and deepen emotional intimacy—using a structured method rooted in psychology and real-world conflict resolution practices.

Who is this game for?

This game is for couples, close friends, siblings, or even work partners—any two people who want to better understand each other, resolve tension, or simply build stronger communication habits.

Do we need to be in conflict to play this game?

Not at all! While it’s designed to help navigate tough conversations, many players use *Let’s Fix It* to proactively strengthen their bond or check in emotionally even when things are going well.

How do you play?

Each player takes turns picking a card chronologically and answering questions that follow the MIS method—Moment, Interpretation, Solution. These help both players unpack what happened, how it felt, and how to move forward.

Is it therapy?

No. *Let’s Fix It* is not a substitute for therapy. It’s a guided self-reflection and communication tool meant to empower emotionally aware conversations.

How long does a game take?

A full game usually takes 30–60 minutes, depending on the depth of sharing and discussion. You can pause at any point and pick it up later.

Can we play more than once?

Absolutely. Most players revisit the game to resolve new conflicts or reflect on how their relationship has evolved over time.

Is it emotionally intense?

It can be. The game invites vulnerability—but always at your own pace. Emotional safety and mutual respect are key. You can skip questions or take breaks anytime.

Can I play it solo?

The core design is for two players in dialogue. However, many coaches and individuals have used the cards for self-reflection or journaling as a solo tool.

What if my partner isn’t open to playing?

Invite them gently—position it as a chance to grow together rather than "fix" anything broken. You can also use the game solo to understand your own patterns first.

Will it make our relationship worse if we’re already struggling?

The game is designed to create a safe structure for difficult conversations. But emotional safety depends on mutual willingness. If one or both players are defensive or emotionally unsafe, it’s best to seek professional support.

Is this game LGBTQ+ inclusive?

Yes. The game is relationship-agnostic and designed to support all kinds of human bonds, regardless of gender, orientation, or background.

Can therapists or coaches use this in sessions?

Yes. Many practitioners have incorporated *Let’s Fix It* into their toolkit to facilitate connection and reflection between clients. It’s especially helpful as a warm-up or trust-building exercise.

I have just started playing this card game with my partner. In the initial stages itself, I found it pretty fascinating to see how different our communication styles are — not to say we aren’t aware. But to intentionally move forward, turn by turn, without interruptions, in the game without letting our emotions run wild DESPITE different communication styles was personally a calming and revelating factor for me. The dumb cards are actually pretty cute! They made us giggle and reminisce over old memories in a manner! I would 100% recommend this AFTER a fight / conflict. 💜

I recently played Let’s Fix It with my partner and really enjoyed the experience. The game gave us a calm, structured way to communicate, taking turns without interrupting and actually listening to each other. He usually struggles to find the right words, but during the game we both slowed down, gave each other space, and it made the conversation feel easier. We even ended up laughing over little things, like who should go first or the random “rules” he’d suddenly come up with. Those moments kept it light and fun while still letting us talk openly.
I’d recommend this game as a thoughtful way to reconnect, especially after a disagreement. It helps you slow down, reflect, and share in a safe and playful setting. And if you try it, don’t forget to add in your own fun along the way-that’s what makes it even better. 💜

Loved it. Maybe not all the questions in the world. But it's an amazing concept carefully curated to initiate the right emotions. Ipsita has done a great Job by putting together some right set of questions to start some meaningful conversations and settle some unspoken ones.

It seems to be a good initiative. Loved the idea. The cards actually make you introspect. Can't wait to play it during concerning time in a relationship.

Amazing creation by Ipsita which makes it easier to fix situations which generally aren’t easy to deal with. Very thoughtfully designed to make it easy for everyone. Apart from buying it for myself I gifted these to close ones and they found this game very helpful:)
